The Nordic Track elliptical is a value priced fitness machine. People who we interviewed were over all satisfied with their purchase. None were totally dissatisfied with their Nordic Track elliptical trainer.
A major drawback with the Nordic Track elliptical is it does not appear to very well constructed. By this we mean that during heavy work out it tends to wobble or sway and be very noisy. However users appeared satisfied with its general operation.
Nordic track elliptical owners complained about the ease of assembling their trainer. Although this is a common complaint with all fitness equipment that requires some assembly. In particular to the Nordic Track elliptical was the assembly of the electronics. The electronic display is powered by four D size batteries which do not come with the machine. This has its advantages in not having to runs corns accross the floor to the machine. This is especially bothersome in an exercise area.
The Nordic Track ellipticals electronic programs are spartan when compared to premium competitors, however we found them to be more than adequate for most exercise routines. The stride length was a plus for people who prefer a longer stride, however one of our testers with short legs did not find the trainer uncomfortable to use. Breaking resistance is ralatively smooth.
Despite the concerns about stability and noise most owners and users said they liked the Nordic Track elliptical trainer. Again we suggest that you spend the extra money for an extended warranty when purchasing fitness equipment as the cost of repairs can be expensive.
Again it goes without saying that you must always physically test any fitness equipment prior to purchase. This means spending the time to do a normally workout on the machine either at the gym or at the dealership.
